today boleh blog for the whole day actually sebab aku takde class langsung. tapi based on Dr. Su'ad's advice, aku rasa cam nak pergi je lah class Applied Linguistics malam ni even though aku tak register for this course. ikut hati, memang aku naaaak sangat *sila baca ikut nada zizan raja lawak imitate dafi* ambil kos ni apatah lagi ini one of the core courses. but everytime i went for the online registration, the feedback is always the same; You Cannot Register For This Course Because The Class Is Full. what the?? mamat iran mana lah yang minat sangat belajar applied ni. korang kan boleh duk malaysia lama-lama, kami tak racism. so bagi lah aku ambil dulu sem ni. balas budi baik aku sebagai citizen yang tak racist. oh tetiba teringat time registration day aku tolong this iranian girl register online because apparently she doesn't really know how to use the computer. rasa sangat helpful. sungguh. betul lah orang kata, the joy of giving is always greater than that of receiving.

so yesterday aku ada mentioned ambil class Functional Linguistics kan and the fact that i don't really like this course but i had to take it since the other elective classes are full at the moment. but after two hours of lecture, *supposed to be three but she cut it short because it was the first class* i take back my words. in fact, this could be my favourite course after all. turns out Functional Linguistics is all about grammar and analyzing textx such as poems, speeches, movies scrypt, excerpts from novels etc. and this course will teach us on analyzing which texts are better than the others from linguistics point of view. hah ambik kau. my lecturer Dr. Sridevi lagi nama dia, is really funny and i have to say she is my favourite lecturer so far. ohmaigad bias seyh. takpe lah sekali sekala. so ada lah dia show a glimpse of last sem punya work yang dia supervise. antaranya comparing the speeches of obama before and after the election, analyzing the scrypt of the movie avatar, comparing the interview with aiswarya rai in oprah's show and david letterman's show. gila hebat wa cakap sama lu. in this course dia cakap kita akan belajar how to analyze texts so that at the end we can tell which text is better, especially for language teachers, this course can help you to determine the line between an A- or B+ when marking students' essays. fuuuh. terkesima aku after lecture dia. tapi yang tak best tuh dia cakap this course is tough. hah buktinya? kelas aku semalam ada tujuh student je siot. semua pun budak first sem. seniors sume tak nak ambil course ni. Dr. cakap dorang takut. so she congrats us lah for being brave. gulp! dia tak tahu kut aku main hentam je register, kalau aku tahu tough, maybe aku dah tak pandang course ni. gahaha. hah tapi nak drop dari kelas ni pulak aku tak sampai hati sebab syarat dia kalau nak ajar at least kena ada seven students register untuk subjek tuh. dah nya kalau aku keluar, tinggal la enam budak hitam. chinese sume, aku ngan sorang lagi je malay. means kalau aku keluar, kelas ini akan ditutup. kesian pulak. tapi yang aku lagi ketar cam mandi pukul tiga pagi ialah dia tunjuk nama previous students dia. jeng jeng. ada sorang je melayu dalam puluh-puluh tuh. hampeh. and i bet yang melayu tuh mesti terror macam izza izelan. *gali kubur siap-siap nak terjun masuk after result keluar hujung sem*

so waktu akhirnya aku still undecided nak buat apa. oh by the way dah kumpul assignments dah first week. sengal betul. article reviews lah, slide presentation lah, online forums lah. *gali lagi tiga kubur sebab ada empat subjek semuanya sem ni*
