master syndrome.

my master programme kicks off. finally! after the first two classes attended this week, i've to say; SAYA SANGAT TAKOOOOT! yes. dan ini bukan exaggerate ye. first class i entered was Second Language Acquisition or SLA. my respective lecturer would be Dr. Ng Lee Luan. she is at first glance ohmaigad..scary the merry people. seriously. she practically kicked out those yang tak register online on the spot. luckily i did. phew~ but then she became sort of okay i guess. sort of. hahah. but blimey she loves asking questions and analyzing feedbacks.

those yang kenal saya dari zaman sekolah sampai degree mesti tahu saya cukup tak suka berdiskusi dalam kelas ni. i very much prefer to listen and evaluate on my own rather than sharing or expressing my own thoughts. kedekut kata kau?? oh tidak. thta's just me. individuals are born different you know? i'm more of the silent killer. wah. hahah. tapi masuk kelas master, oh-ho. that would be a big no-no. for three hours class, the lecture would only take up to one hour and a half. paling busuk pun two hours. ha the rest of the period buat apa kau tanya? tutorials la babe. discussion sana sini. presentation. pengsan! tapi korang jangan pandang rendah pada aku walau aku tak la tinggi mana fizikalnya. let's see. first class SLA kami go through theories of SLA, like behaviorism, cognitive and sociocultural etc. the thing is, those of us from the educational background have learnt this albeit not so deep, but the basic is there. aku pun excited la bab masuk behaviorist ni sebab aku ingat dia nak tanya siapa founder theory nih, in which i have it at the back of my hand, BF Skinner lah siot. dulu time final sem degree Dr. Izaham had asked this question and i was the one giddily answering. so ingatkan boleh jadi deja vu. tapi Dr. Lee tak tanya lah pulak. dang~ aku pun dah give up lah sebab tu je la yang aku ingat kalau nak jawab pun. tapi tetiba dia mentioned Noam Chomsky. hah kau? ring ding dong ring ding dong~ oh aku yakin pernah tahu ni dulu. so dia pun dengan muka penuh nak mencabarnya tanya, what is Chomsky famous for? mungkin suhu aircond sangat rendah atau aku sangat lapar, maka aku yang tak suka bercakap ni tetiba menjawab dengan beraninya, ehem ehem. UNIVERSAL GRAMMAR? note: siap ada question mark di hujung itu, sebab tak sure pun sebenarnya. dapat lah aku compliment good sekali dari dia. wahaha, nak melumpat rasanya. even though tu je la sumbangan aku hari tu compared to others yang macam makan buntot ayam tapi still, aku dapat good dorang tak dapat. wakakaka please bear with me.

second class of the week General Linguistics. Dr. Su'ad memang bestlah. funny dan lenient dan understanding dan macam-macam lagilah positive adjectives yang wujud. sedar-sedar je dah habis tiga jam kelas. happening tuh. so today ada satu lagi class, Functional Linguistics. erm truth be told, aku tak suka pun subjek ni tapi class lain dah penuh, so aku terpaksa ambil yang ni. kalau ikut hati nak ambil Descriptive Linguistics. adoyai. hantuk kepala dekat dinding. indian lecturer yang ajar ni karang. hoho 1Malaysia lah lecturers aku. till then toodles~
