which are you.

i didn't mean to overlook

somehow i took the wrong turn
somehow i glanced at the wrong time
somehow i was a bit late
somehow you were early

it could be hundred different reasons
why we never met
and somehow it explains
why i never know which one are you

you could be the one i saw at the red light
or the one who accidentally dumped coffee on me
or the brunette sitting next to me on the train everyday
or the passer-by at the park with the dog on leash

i waited for the sign -
a star shining too bright
a bell chimes too loud
a heart beats too fast
but found nothing

one day i turned impatient
decided to fast-forward my story
that's when our eyes met
after i blocked your car (on purpose)

the problem with technology -
they failed more than succeed
with fast-forwarding
you missed important details like

he could be the one i saw at the red light
or the one who accidentally dumped coffee on me
or the brunette sitting next to me on the train everyday
or the passer-by at the park with the dog on leash

god finally got his act together
put things back to where they belong
let nature takes its own turn
by taking you away

you could be the one i saw at the red light
or the one who accidentally dumped coffee on me
or the brunette sitting next to me on the train everyday
or the passer-by at the park with the dog on leash

or the one humming to this song this moment
so now we're back to square one --sigh--
